Hi! I’m Lena Grøtting, a Rotterdam-based activist filmmaker, photographer, illustrator, and web designer.

What started for me as a love for drawing beautiful dresses and silly monsters has developed into a fascination for the power that lies in visual languages. They can easily be understood, independent of origin and education. I like to harness this power by translating complex environmental and social justice issues into engaging and accessible visual storytelling.

I am currently enjoying an education in International Law at Erasmus University College and in Transformation Design at Willem de Kooning Academy. In 2025, I completed an exchange semester at Pratt Institute’s film department.
